WayPath Attains SOC 2® Type 1 Compliance

WayPath, a boutique customer experience consulting firm, announced that it has successfully attained its Service Organization Control (SOC) 2® Type 1 compliance through an audit performed by an independent CPA firm.

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 compliance is widely recognized as a gold standard for data security and requires companies to establish and follow strict information security policies and procedures. The audit was conducted by Marcum, LLP.

“Undergoing our SOC 2 audit was a great exercise in discipline and process,” said Chief Technology Officer Jeff Hansen. “While we have always had a security mindset, the SOC 2 audit provided us with a framework and different lens through which we view our commitments to security and confidentiality.”

The SOC 2 Type 1 audit report is available to WayPath’s customers and prospects under NDA upon request.

“Organizations need to be concerned now more than ever with the security of their vendors and partners,” said Hansen. “The SOC 2 audit that we have undergone gives our partners and clients a detailed overview of our controls and practices related to security and confidentiality so that they can see how we take care of the data with which we are entrusted.”
